MEC XASA TO SPEND HIS 67 MINUTES AT A SCHOOL FOR DISABLED

As part of heading the call to commit at least 67 minutes of his time in activities of public good, COGTA MEC Fikile Xasa will be painting and cleaning Phumelela School for the Disabled situated in Ezibeleni Township under Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality near Queenstown on 18 July 2017, commencing at 8h30.

Phumelela School for the Disabled  cares for children with disabilities and are involved in different projects such as repairing of desks, baking, sewing, bead making, and vegetable garden. The school has 68 members and is supported by the Community Work Programme (CWP) which is a programme of the department of Cogta .

The activities of the day will include Painting of the school, handing over of certificate to CWP participants, tour around the school to inspect various projects that are being implement at the school.

Amongst those who will attend will be the Executive Mayors of Chris Hani District Municipality and Enoch Mgijima municipalities respectively, councilors and government officials.
